The Turf: A Local Gem That Left Us Wanting More

Vybz Networking Hub Production's "The Turf" was a captivating mini-series that left an enduring impact on viewers. Set in the gritty backdrop of Cape Town's Kraaifontein, the series delved into the complex world of gang warfare and the extortion known as "protection fees." With MarryJFlower at the helm as both the main character and director, 


 

"The Turf" showcased raw talent and a deep understanding of the community. The series garnered significant attention, accumulating over 3,000 views across its three episodes. Behind the camera, a skilled team of creatives contributed to the series' success. Alpha Chihora's cinematography, Luvuyo Gusha's lighting and clapper loading, and Sello Wongalethu Ntsunguzi's sound mixing combined to create a visually and aurally immersive experience. Unfortunately, "The Turf" ended abruptly after its third episode, leaving fans craving more.
